  1. Colorado Shakespeare Festival is the best! I’ve been going for 25 years. We saw Cyrano de Bergerac in the outdoor theatre (Mary Rippon Theatre) tonight. Not Shakespeare but a really moving performance of a great play.

Most of the plays are Shakespeare, but one or two other plays are offered at the festival every year. Having a picnic on the CU lawn and then seeing a play in the outdoor Mary Rippon Theatre is an experience every Shakespeare fan needs to have.

One of the best things about summer.

  2. What a huge value for only $45. The outdoor venue is so quaint and fun. The actors were very talented and exquisite to watch even if you don’t like Shakespeare!

  3. Cozy, but open. Catch a production on a day with great weather, and you have the workings of a fantastic evening. Usually plenty of parking within a few blocks during evening events. I go every year to at least one Shakespeare production and it is a highlight of my summer!

  4. What a fun festival held in such a great venue. I’m not a big fan of Shakespeare’s works but the actors who performed Love’s Labour’s Lost were close to turning me in to one. To see a Shakespeare play at Mary Rippon outdoor theater is a really fun experience. We had a little weather blow through which caused a slight delay and the staff handled it professionally. I will be back.

  5. My family and I LOVE coming here every year. Actors are amazing, location is killer! Super fun to stroll through campus and have a glass of wine or cold IPA while enjoying a play!
